More information
To be competitive, the cement plants need specific and high-performance process and quality control systems.

The Polysius product rage includes control, regulation, monotoring and optimisation systems as well quality control and assurance systems.

Of modular design, all systems are tailored to requirements.
Furthermore Polysius engineers the electrical part of individual machinery and complete plants.
9. Storage
The clinker store is the source of supply for the cement grinding stage.

10. Grinding
Additives are fed in during the clinker grinding process to achieve the required type and grade of cement.

11. Storage, packing and loading
The finished cement is transferred to storage silos, from which it is loaded into bulk transporters or bags.
6. Preheating and calcining
The raw meal is preheated and calcined in the cyclone preheater and calciner..

7. Burning
The raw meal is burned in the rotary kiln at a temperature of around 1,500° C to form clinker.

8. Cooling
Most of the heat given off during clinker cooling is recoverd for use in the production process.
1. Crushing
The raw material is crushed to the size of coarse gravel.

2. Interim storage
The raw material is stockpiled or homogenised in blending beds.

3. Proportioning
The proportioning station feeds the raw material to the mill in the right quantity and composition.

4. Grinding
The raw material is ground to the required fineness in the raw mill and simultaneously dried.

5. Homogenizing
The raw material is homogenised and stored in silos, from which it is fed at a controlled rate to preheater.
