Crushing.
After extraction from the quarry, the raw materials needed for the cement production are broken in the pre-reduction plant.
Heavy trucks deliver the blocks of material to the feed hoppers of the crushing plant. The discharge device underneath the feed hopper then conveys the material at a controlled flow rate to the crusher.
Depending on the material's properties and the method of extraction, very different types of crushing plants are used for breaking the raw material.
