Cement plant modernisation in Egypt
Alexandria/Egypt. Amreyah Cement Company (AMCC – Cimpor Group), have awarded Polysius France a turnkey contract for the modernisation of kiln line 2 and modification of the cement mill at their Alexandria plant. The output of the kiln line will be rehabilitated to 3,500 tonnes of clinker per day. The two raw grinding plants are to be equipped with SEPOL LM high-efficiency separators for a throughput of 170 tph each, and the electrostatic precipitators are to be replaced with new bag filters
The preheater of the kiln line is to be completely refurbished using the existing preheater tower and the raw meal dosing will be handled by a bucket elevator. In addition, a new tertiary air duct and a new kiln hood are to be installed. Various modifications will be made to the clinker cooler, such as the installation of a static pre-grate and of a new dust collection filter.
The cement grinding system will be converted from open-circuit mill to closed-circuit system equipped with a SEPOL SV separator for an output of 150 tonnes of cement per hour.
Commissioning of the cement grinding plant is due to take place as early as 2012, while commissioning of the kiln system is scheduled for 2013.
